Danielle & Pat St. Louis Engagement Session

These two are awesome – Such a joyful couple! I’m so glad that we got lucky with some gorgeous mid-winter light (and bearable temperatures) for their engagement session. It *almost* looks like autumn, which is perfect since they will be getting married at Moulin Events this fall. We can’t wait – Danielle and Pat exude happiness so we know it’s going to be a fun (and sparkly!) day.

Michaela & Dan Wedding at Coronado Ballroom in St. Louis

Just after Christmas, we got to photograph the wedding of my husband’s great friend Dan and his love Michaela. While we’re fond of all our couples, naturally it’s especially meaningful to be part of the weddings of friends. We got lucky with some warm weather (relatively speaking, of course – We’re still adjusting to not having LA temperatures while shooting!), worked with some great vendors, and to top it off, I got to spend the reception being a guest! Many thanks to Lauren Winchester for photographing that part of the day with April so that I could have some wine and dance with my hubby. Kayla and Dan (and darling Charlotte), we love you! XOXO.

St. Louis Wedding Inspiration at The Heirloom Room

Hooray! Now that it’s been featured on Ruffled, we can share photos with you of the sorbet inspired shoot we put together in Saint Louis earlier this summer. We wanted to do something fun to get our creative juices flowing in the middle of a hectic wedding season, and also have an excuse to work with a few of our favorite local wedding peeps. We crafted and thrifted and pinned for weeks, and enjoyed every minute of it. We’re blown away by, and so grateful for, what everyone contributed. Once the room was decorated, our socks were officially knocked off! We were trying to scheme up ways that we could just hang out for several extra hours soaking in the colorful, happy space even after the shoot was done.

An enormous thank you to everyone who worked on this with us!

Last week I got to be part of a really fun inspiration shoot with a bunch of other St. Louis wedding vendors and photographers at Kuh’s Estate and Farm. It was a gorgeous day, and such a perfect way to get to know some of the wonderful talent in this city. Plus, Kuh’s is amazing. Officially at the top of our wedding venue wish list. There are chickens! And goats!
