Wedding at Cicada, Downtown Los Angeles
It was an art deco kind of weekend for us and Mint Julep Social Events! We loved Katy & Michael’s wedding at the Cicada Restaurant in downtown Los Angeles. First off, can we just say…That Dress! Katy was stunning in her elegant Carolina Herrera lace gown. Our other favorite thing was That Look that Michael had on his face whenever he caught even the slightest glimpse of Katy, whether up close or across the room. Love, adoration, pure joy. We just couldn’t get enough of their sweetness!

We’ve finally got a bit of a breath from all our traveling and photographing bunches of fun & fabulous weddings and we’re excited to share the images with you. It may take us awhile to roll them all out, but hopefully the wait will be worth it!
Gina & Sean had one of our favorite engagement sessions this past season, so we were SUPER excited to head to downtown Los Angeles for their CafĂ© Pinot wedding. The day couldn’t have been sweeter. Thanks especially to Kelly at Demaray Events, all the fabulous folks at the Patina Group and Primary Petals for putting together such a gorgeous day!

Oh my, do we love this wedding! Our biggest hope for our clients is always that they will put together a wedding that is truly reflective of who they are and what makes them happy. Robin and Sean’s day was just that, 100%. Originally, they wanted to go to Yosemite and get married on a frozen lake, just the two of them (dreamy!). When their families put the kibosh on that idea, they decided instead to have a wonderfully intimate celebration in the back yard of some close friends. This day was a true labor of love. Robin made everything by hand (with some help from family members. Her dad made the napkins you see below!), including the ceremony and reception back drops, the invitations, and even quilts for all the guests to take home as gifts! Best wedding favor EVER!
Robin and Sean, it was such a complete delight to be part of your wedding day! We’re glad you didn’t elope after all!
